If you are staying at a hotel on Ladies Beach, the question of where to eat is really a question of when. The short answer: have a late breakfast, keep lunch light, and be at your table an hour before sunset. Those three rules set the rhythm of the whole holiday — because this shore lives by the sun.
Ladies Beach (Kadınlar Denizi) is a bay a few kilometres south of central Kuşadası, facing due west. That orientation matters more than it sounds: the sun goes down into the sea here, which means the late-afternoon light lasts longer than it does almost anywhere else in town.
Morning · a late breakfast
Hotel breakfast usually closes at 10:00, and on the first day everyone races to catch it. From the second day on, our suggestion is simple: have breakfast out, and have it late. A spread breakfast or a sac gözleme will carry you to the afternoon and remove the need for lunch entirely.
Sundays have their own ritual on this shore: an open buffet breakfast laid out between 10:00 and 14:00. It is long, unhurried, and usually wants a reservation.
Midday · keep it light
In July and August the middle of the day belongs to the beach, not the table. A heavy meal at that hour takes the rest of the day with it. Salad, cold meze and grilled fish is the right combination for anyone who intends to get back in the sea.
Late afternoon · the golden hour
This is what the shore is actually for. The golden hour begins 45 to 60 minutes before sunset and changes the colour of the sea several times over. Sitting down half an hour before sunset means both getting the table and seeing the whole transition. Evening · the long table
Dinner here does not want to be rushed. An evening that opens with meze and moves on to the grill stretches to three hours and nobody minds. Live music starts at 21:00 from Thursday to Sunday; if you want to build the evening around it, book for around 20:00.
How to choose
- View or centre? — The shore is calm and scenic; if you want bustle, the bazaar is in town.
- Reservations — Sea-side tables are limited and go early for the sunset hour.
- Families with children — An early sitting, around 19:00, is both quieter and cooler.
- Walking — Depending on where your hotel is, walking along the shore is often faster than driving.
Our garden has been in the same place on this shore since 1975 — a few minutes from most of the hotels, under a pine tree and facing the sea, open from breakfast until late.
Where is Ladies Beach, and how do you get there?
Ladies Beach (Kadınlar Denizi) is a neighbourhood and beach about 2.5 kilometres south of central Kuşadası, running along the shoreline. It takes its name from a section once reserved for women swimmers; there is no such division today.
- From the centre: shared minibuses (dolmuş) run frequently along the coast road; on foot it is about half an hour, with the sea in view most of the way.
- From the cruise port: a few minutes by taxi. The port is very close to the centre.
- By car: Kadınlar Denizi Caddesi follows the shore. There is paid parking along the road in the evening; on summer evenings it fills early.
The area has a high concentration of hotels, so places to eat and drink line the seafront. The sections below cover what works at which time of day.

Plan around the actual sunset time
Ladies Beach faces west; the sun goes down into the sea directly in front of you. But the time shifts by two hours and forty minutes across the year, so "I'll go in the late afternoon" is not a plan:
- June – July: sunset around 20:35. Sit down at 19:30.
- September: sunset 19:20. Sit down between 18:15 and 18:30.
- October: sunset 18:35. Sit down around 17:30 — which makes this a late afternoon plan rather than a dinner one.
- December – January: sunset 17:55 – 18:15. Sunset and dinner are now two separate events; combining them means sitting down early.

Staying in a hotel? How many evenings should you go out?
Most hotels around Ladies Beach run half board or all inclusive, and guests typically go out once or twice. Placing those one or two evenings well changes the holiday noticeably:
- Not the first evening. After travelling, most people tire early; going out sits better on the second or third night.
- Pick the evening with the sunset. Check the forecast — a partly cloudy evening gives a better sunset than a completely clear one.
- Build the evening around live music if there is any. Music starts at 21:00 Thursday to Sunday: in summer that lands half an hour after sunset, in winter there are hours in between. The schedule is on the live music page.
- Sunday brunch. Skipping the hotel breakfast one morning for an open buffet brunch is the easiest "different" day of the trip.
Sunday morning: the open buffet brunch
What hotel guests around Ladies Beach most often miss is Sunday morning. The hotel breakfast is the same every day; the open buffet brunch is laid out once a week and is the easiest "different" day of the holiday.
At Seçkin Saklı Bahçe the Sunday buffet is ₺850 per person, served 10:00–14:00. On the table: homemade jams and honey, village cheeses, pişi, griddle gözleme, courgette-blossom crepes, sour cherry pancakes, menemen, çılbır, cold roast beef, salads, seasonal fruit and home-baked cakes.

Beyond eating: what else is around Ladies Beach?
- The beach. Fine sand and a shallow entry; considered one of the easiest beaches in Kuşadası for families with children. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be hired.
- The seafront walk. You can walk from Ladies Beach towards the centre along the water — about half an hour, with shaded stretches.
- Evenings. Cafés and bars line the road; quieter than the centre, and the crowd is mostly hotel guests.
- Day trips. Şirince is roughly 30 km (about 40 minutes by car), Dilek Peninsula National Park roughly 25–30 km to the south. Ephesus is 19 km from the port, about 25 minutes.
